Dyslexia Matters - Discover the gifts within you

Your Facilitator

Amanda du Toit, certified and licensed Davis FacilitatorDyslexia Matters is owned and operated by Amanda du Toit, a certified and licensed Davis Facilitator. Amanda is dedicated to helping others realise that dyslexia is a gift and that, with the right approach, they can conquer their learning difficulties and go on to reach their fullest potential. She is non-judgemental, caring, professional and respectful. Her programmes are delivered in a fun and relaxed manner at her premises in Beaumont Hills, a quiet, leafy suburb in the Hills District of Sydney.

Amanda first heard about the Davis Dyslexia Correction® Programme a few years ago when her eldest daughter, aged 10 and very bright, was struggling with reading. There was such a great improvement in her reading and self-confidence after doing the Davis programme with a facilitator, that Amanda soon became passionate about Davis and realised that by becoming a certified Davis facilitator she, too, could help other individuals, and their families, who were affected by dyslexia and related learning difficulties.

In order to become a certified Davis facilitator, Davis trainees undertake approximately 420+ hours of thorough and extensive training which includes practical instruction, field studies, and immersion of facilitation methods. Amanda embraced her training with passion and enthusiasm and she achieved excellent results, culminating in a “Highly Recommended” final evaluation from her Davis Training Specialist.

Licensing is strictly controlled by Davis Dyslexia Association International®, and facilitators are required to abide with the Standards of Practice and Facilitator Licensing Agreement requirements. A rigorous annual review and re-licensing process assures the public of the quality standards attained, and maintained, by the facilitator.

Amanda also holds a current Apply First Aid certificate and a current Certificate for Self-Employed People in child-related employment.
