Davis Dyslexia Correction® Programme

The Davis Dyslexia Correction Programme is appropriate for adults and children aged 8 or above, who are experiencing difficulties in any of the following:

Reading
Spelling
Creative writing
Comprehension
Letter confusions
Difficulty with phonics
Poor working memory
Co-ordination problems
Visual processing issues
Auditory processing issues
Difficulty with focus and staying on task

The Davis Dyslexia Correction Programme has a very high success rate because it addresses the root cause of the learning difficulty, rather than just trying to fix the symptoms. It provides a lifetime of correction because the tools taught can be used throughout life and outside of school.

The Davis Dyslexia Correction Programme includes:

30 hours of one-on-one facilitation.
Personalised attention given to client’s learning needs and goals.
All materials required for the programme and for home-based follow-up work.
Training for a family member (or friend) for home support.
5 post-programme sessions with the facilitator.
Continued email and phone consultation with the facilitator, as required.

On completion of a Davis Dyslexia Programme, many of the following skills and benefits are usually achieved:

The ability to recognize and correct disorientations at will.
The knowledge of how to eliminate confusions in words and symbols.
The basic tools of literacy: reading, spelling, punctuation and pronunciation.
Better stress-management and less anxiety.
Balance and co-ordination improvement.
The ability to focus attention.
Increased self-confidence.
Improved comprehension.
Increased self-esteem.
Writing improvement.
Improved spelling.

For clients with other additional learning problems, it may be advisable for them to complete an extra programme such as the Davis™ Attention Mastery Programme and/or Davis Maths Mastery Programme™. The recommended solutions and strategies for each individual client are discussed and proposed during the initial consultation.
